Terry + August | Tropical Destination Wedding at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana
Want to know one of the reasons I just loveeee destination weddings (well, there are actually lots of reasons, but I’ll save those for later.)? A destination wedding is such a great way to plan a big vacation with all your loved ones while also celebrating your marriage and that’s exactly what Terry and August did for their Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana wedding. These two planned a tropical wedding in the Dominican Republic and spent the days leading up to their wedding with all their favorite people. By the time the big day arrived, they had already made so many incredible memories that their wedding was the icing on the cake!
Terry and August’s Love Story
Terry and August’s love story began in grad school. The couple jokes that while Terry was pursuing her degree, August was pursuing her! Over the next four years, the couple dated and went on many adventures together to places like Puerto Rico, Cancun, Colorado, Vegas, Columbia, and Korea just to name a few. During their travels, they learned more about each other and used that time to make sure that their relationship could withstand all aspects of life.
A Tropical Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana Wedding
For their destination wedding, Terry and August chose to get married at Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. It was really important to the couple that they not only have a beautiful wedding day where they could celebrate their love for each other but they could also spend the day surrounded by their family and friends while enjoying a beautiful destination. Before their wedding, they shared with me how grateful they were that their loved ones had taken the time to fly out for their special day. They had only been expecting about 20 people to be able to attend but ended up having 70 guests come out to celebrate them!!
One of the things that I absolutely loved about Terry and August’s Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana wedding was how intentional they were about including different elements from each of their cultures. To celebrate August’s Indian culture, they included a Thali gold necklace to signify the bond of marriage, and for Terry’s Korean culture, they had mandarin ducks (a symbol of unity and fidelity) placed on the sweetheart table at their reception.
I could go on about how incredible this Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana wedding was, but I’ll just let you see for yourself through the photos. Terry and August, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your beautiful wedding day! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
