Crabtree’s Kittle House Wedding in New York

What do you get when you mix a fraternity pageant, two college students, and a ukulele? An epic love story, that’s what! It was fall and Amanda’s sorority at Gettysburg College was hosting their annual Mr. Fraternity Pageant to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Charlie had been chosen to represent his fraternity in the pageant and he played a cover of Lil Jon’s ‘Get Low’ on the ukelele in an American Flag speedo (fitting as he had a swim meet the next day). The two met at the pageant’s after-party and exchanged numbers. Eight years later they said ‘I Do’ at a beautiful summer wedding in New York at Crabtree’s Kittle House venue.

How this couple met is a story for the books, but I have to say, how I met this couple is almost as incredible! In 2022, I took a trip to New York and wanted to photograph a couple while I was there. Someone referred me to Amanda and Charlie and while I was visiting the city, we connected and I even got to take their engagement photos as they had recently gotten engaged! At the time, Amanda and Charlie did not have any solid wedding plans, but a few months later, they reached out to me and said I was their "dream photographer" and they wanted to book me for their wedding in New York!

An Energetic New York Wedding at Crabtree’s Kittle House

For their East Coast wedding, Amanda and Charlie chose the stunning Crabtree’s Kittle House venue. This cozy New York wedding venue is set in historic Chappaqua, New York, and has all the elements of a top-notch wedding venue. The bridal party spent the morning getting ready in the Kittle House bridal suite, while the groomsmen kicked off their day in the Kittle House wine cellar. Following their first look and ceremony, the couple spent the rest of the evening sharing in a huge celebration with their wedding party, guests, and family. The whole day was filled with energy and happy tears and smiles all around.
