Meredith + Robi | Secret Garden Wedding

You know that saying “It takes a village”? Most of the time it is used in the context of raising a child, but I think it can apply to relationships and marriage too. I think the richest, most beautiful love stories happen when the two people getting married have a community of people around them who support them and love them deeply. Meredith & Robi, the couple I’m going to introduce you to today, have exactly that. Their story started out with them meeting through their mutual friends Kelly and and Nikki, who both ended up being in the wedding party! Another one of their bridesmaids, Cassie, was one of my brides before so it was really cool to be able to witness Meredith’s and Robi’s community in such a fun way.

Meredith and Robi were inseparable from their first date, even to the point where they both got their MBAs from ASU together, and eventually got engaged in the middle of Central Park during a trip to New York City (straight out of a movie, am I right?). Their wedding day was just as picture perfect as their love story. They got married at the Secret Garden, so their wedding day was perfectly framed by lush greenery and gorgeous landscapes. Meredith wore a stunning, intricate lace dress, perfectly complemented by the bridesmaids’ sage green dresses. The groomsmen and the groom were deashing in their suits and bow ties, and the whole night it was obvious how much Meredith and Robi were loved by their friends and family.

Meredith’s advice to future brides is to, “Treat your entire engagement period as the whole wedding experience. Be in the moment for everything - your bridal shower, bachelorette, any celebrations leading up to the big day! Take a cooking class together, take dance lessons together, take it all in and celebrate each other! Your wedding day will feel like the icing on the cake!” and it was so evident by the joy on their faces that Meredith and Robi took their own advice on their wedding day. Meredith and Robi, I am so honored you asked me to capture your special day. You are perfect for each other, and I am so excited for you and your beautiful new chapter. Congratulations!
