Southern California Wedding at The Griffith House

Some love stories begin with love at first sight, whereas others require more time and patience. John and Rachel's love story falls into the latter category, but after hearing their story and witnessing their love in person, I'd say the wait was well worth it!!!

John and Rachel first met while attending college in San Diego. It started out as a typical one-sided romance. John had quickly developed feelings for Rachel, but for the time being, Rachel only saw him as a friend. John was patient and persistent in his efforts to spend more time with her and care for her and eventually, his efforts paid off. Rachel soon began to notice his patient and thoughtful efforts and she realized he was more than just a friend to her. The couple dated long-distance for three years before making it official!!! The time apart was difficult and presented some challenges, but it also showed them how much they meant to each other, which helped them endure the distance.

Rachel and John got engaged at a botanical garden in San Diego where they had. had one of their first dates. Rachel thought she was just going on a day trip with her sister and had no idea John had driven over from Arizona! He surprised her at the end of the day with a song he had written for her and a ring. She, of course, said YES!!!

John and Rachel chose The Griffith House in Anaheim, California for their intimate Southern California wedding. They wanted a clean aesthetic with muted, pastel floral tones. Simple, but timeless!!! They invited mostly family and mutual college friends, and it was a fun day spent celebrating and reuniting with loved ones.

California will always have a special place in my heart because it is where I was born. Returning to California always makes me happy, and attending Rachel and John's wedding was even more enjoyable!!! Rachel and John, your wedding day was just as beautiful as your love for one another!
