Outdoor Modern Desert Wedding at The Paseo in Arizona

You know when you find your person and everything just makes sense and seems right in the world? Well, that’s kind of how it happened with Melissa and Danny.

Melissa and Danny met on a typical scorching hot day in Tempe, Arizona. Their college, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, was holding an afternoon social for new students to get to know each other before the semester began. Melissa arrived late to the meet and greet, but luck was on her side because one of the last remaining seats was next to a blue-eyed Texan boy with an irresistible smile. Danny and Melissa hit it off immediately and the rest of the afternoon was filled with effortless conversation and belly laughs. Danny knew immediately that he had met someone special and Melissa wasn’t too far behind him. It wasn’t long before the couple made things official and started dating. Although it's been a few years since that first meet and greet at the school Melissa and Danny have never forgotten the special feelings they shared on that very first day at school.

This modern desert wedding took place at one of my favorite Arizona wedding venues, The Paseo. The Paseo is a stunning wedding venue on its own, but Melissa and Danny brought a contemporary twist to the venue with their neutral wedding color palette. They kept their colors simple with all-white florals which added some texture as well as a modern and timeless feel. Melissa wore a sleek white satin mermaid-style Antonio Gual dress complemented by her bridesmaids’ champagne-colored dresses and groomsmens’ all-black suits.

Their cocktail hour was chic and classy with jazz music playing in the background while guests had the option to play yard games outside while steady drinks flowed throughout the evening. The evening ended with nighttime dancing under the stars, a beautiful way to end this desert wedding.

One of the things I loved most about their wedding day was their creativity and laughter. They both have a great sense of humor and found ways to incorporate some of that humor in their wedding signage, which was a particularly fun experience for everyone.
