An Arizona Destination Wedding with Desert Vibes and Classy Decor

One of the very best things about being a wedding photographer is getting to capture my amazing couples through the incredible locations they choose for their wedding day! I love getting to experience how each destination helps to create the most perfect wedding celebration for each couple. And just like every couple, every destination is so unique — from mountainside elopements to swanky city ceremonies, to breezy ocean-view vows! For Stephanie and Jeff, their dream destination wedding location wasn’t far away, but right in their very own beloved Arizona. This gorgeous wedding, with its natural desert aesthetic and classy decor, was such a beautiful reflection of this wonderful couple.

Stephanie and Jeff met in college, bonding over their shared love of the outdoors, and their value for community and fun! For both, quality time is their main love language, and they took every opportunity to share outdoor adventures, time with their families, and time with their friends together. Jeff first asked Stephanie to be his girlfriend on a road trip driving through Flagstaff, AZ, and nearly 5 years later asked Stephanie to marry him at the exact same spot! They each spent most of their lives in Arizona, and even though they love going on adventures all over the Western US, they both share a unique love for their home state. When Stephanie and Jeff started planning their wedding, they knew exactly where they wanted to get married. With its beautiful desert landscape, stunning saguaros, and gorgeous mountain skyline, Arizona was the one-and-only destination for their wedding!

Located in Surprise, AZ, The Willow has everything you could want for your desert wedding day. The gorgeous white stucco venue provides such a beautifully crisp, clean backdrop - perfectly complementing any wedding color palette and all of your design details. The wedding lawn is simply stunning (please see photos!). The saguaro cactuses, the peaceful desert space, the mountain skyline – natural beauty is literally everywhere at The Willow. The reception space has the most amazing indoor/outdoor element, with floor-to-ceiling windows and large doors that can be kept open for dreamy desert evening post-wedding parties! I cannot recommend this Arizona wedding venue enough.

Stephanie and Jeff’s Arizona destination wedding at The Willow was effortlessly elegant. The natural desert landscape provided a stunning backdrop to their neutral color palette and classy decor. The bridesmaids and groomsmen wore chic black, and the white rose bouquets with baby’s breath spray created the most beautiful contrast (which my camera was so happy about!). I loved all of the simple, but classy decor elements that these two incorporated into their wedding day - their stunning white wedding cake, the natural black table linens, Stephanie’s embroidered bridal leather jacket (loved!), and a gorgeous fluorescent scripted sign of their new shared last name displayed behind the sweetheart table. Every aspect of this wedding felt so beautifully intentional, and it was so lovely to see the joy these two had celebrating their love with the people they love the most.
