Jordan + Kyle | The Paseo Wedding

The couple that I’m going to introduce to you today, Jordan & Kyle, could possibly be the coolest people I’ve ever met. They first met while working at a ski shop in the middle of Arizona, which goes to show you that they are not your average Joes. They spent their time together snowboarding, road tripping, and backpacking through Europe and have recently moved to South Dakota for Kyle to pursue his PhD in Clinical Psychology (no big deal). Kyle asked Jordan to marry him at a frozen waterfall as they were standing on a frozen sheet of ice over a flowing river. See? Way cooler than I’ll ever be, that’s for sure.

I know three things for sure after witnessing Jordan and Kyle’s wedding day: They love each other more than anything, there is no doubt that their marriage will last forever, and I just want to be best friends with them. They were so adamant that they would be spending as much time as they could with their friends and their family on their special day, and Jordan was so excited to give her bridesmaids gifts that she handmade herself. You can tell that they love and are loved so deeply, and that added a really special dimension to their wedding day.

Their wedding was so unique, authentic, and insanely gorgeous. All of the details were so carefully planned and fully reflected who they were. They designed their happy hour around "Mother's Day BBQ at the Walters" which apparently always consists of good music, great company, and awesome games. Dinner consisted of tacos, sliders, elote, fresh guacamole and salsa, and instead of a traditional wedding cake, they had cobbler and cannolis (I was pretty sure I died and went to heaven at that point, not gonna lie). There was just so much of their personality that shone through and it made it such an incredible wedding for me to capture.

Most of their guests came in from out of town, and their wedding day happened to be the one day in Arizona when it was just POURING rain outside (surprise! Sometimes deserts get rain...who knew?). However, it was so perfect -- the rain stopped just before the ceremony and then started raining the second after we were done with the photos. Look how INCREDIBLE these photos are.

It was evident that Jordan & Kyle only cared about was truly marrying each other and spending time with their guests; everything else was just details/. They didn't have a sweetheart table because they sat with their guests the whole time, and their family members were some of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. Jordan & Kyle, I truly count myself lucky to have met you and your family and it was an incredible honor to shoot your wedding. I wish you many decades of happiness and adventure together. Congratulations!
