Caleda + Ryan | Hyatt Gainey Ranch Wedding
You know the expression, “You can't understand someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes.”? Well, I would like to propose a new one: “If you want to get to know someone really well, you should walk a 20 mile hike alongside them.” The couple I’d like to introduce to you today, Caleda & Ryan, met doing exactly that. They connected during a hiking trip to Havasupai Falls, one of the most gorgeous places in the entire world, and Caleda learned a lot about Ryan on their way down the canyon. Coming back up is the hardest part, and Caleda was struggling to make it back out. With Ryan’s constant encouragement, she made it through, and she said that she knew on that day, with Ryan’s help, she could push herself to just about anything.
Caleda & Ryan love hiking and exploring, so of course Ryan proposed in beautiful Sedona, Arizona. After she said yes (of course), her next words were “Don’t fall!” since he almost stepped off of a cliff. I think that’s a sign that their next few decades will be full of adventure and excitement, don’t you?
There was so much I loved about Caleda & Ryan’s wedding -- the outdoor ceremony & reception, the dreamy, green and white florals, the bridesmaids’ trendy jean jackets (best wedding accessory ever). Every detail was so carefully thought out and came together to make the most incredible day, and I loved every minute of being there. Also, they win the award for best wedding hashtag -- #SwitchingToGeiko (because Ryan’s last name is Geik). Amazing, right?
Caleda & Ryan, thank you for letting me capture your special day! I had the best time getting to know you, your bridal party, and your family, and I know you will have the happiest, most exciting adventures as husband and wife. Congratulations!
