Multicultural Garden Wedding at Luxurious New York Wedding Venue

I absolutely LOVE multicultural weddings and this one was epic! Libby and Akil’s garden wedding took place at the most beautiful and luxurious New York wedding venue. Surrounded by loved ones, the couple experienced an incredible wedding day complete with a first look, private vows, and one of the most epic receptions I’ve ever seen!

Libby and Akil met while working together at the same hospital. Because they were coworkers neither one of them considered a relationship together at first. After a little encouragement from coworker friends and a surprise kiss at the bar, the couple eventually realized their feelings for each other had grown into something more. They admitted that they wanted more than just a friendship kicking off the start of a new relationship.

This beautiful wedding took place at Swan Club on the Harbor, a beautiful New York wedding venue located in Roslyn Harbor. Libby and Akil envisioned a beautiful garden wedding with spring/summer vibes and that’s exactly what they got! It was at a really pretty venue with tons of greenery, and flowers and it was located right by the water, creating such a peaceful environment for the day. Libby and Akil invited all their family and close friends and though there were a lot of guests, the couple did their best to approach the day with as much zen as they could! Their only wish was to feel relaxed and excited soaking in all the love and support from everyone around them.

After getting ready at two separate locations, Libby and Akil did a first look with personal vows (my personal favorite as far as wedding traditions go.) We took a few NYC wedding photos in the surrounding gardens before heading over to their outdoor wedding ceremony. I loved seeing all the different parts of their culture incorporated into their day. They ended the day with one of the most epic receptions I’ve ever seen! They had a drummer, an amazing DJ, endless amounts of food and dessert, a surprise choreographed first dance, plus a surprise choreographed dance from their friends. It was an absolute party and an amazing way to end the day!

Being able to celebrate this special day with Libby and Akil was such a dream! Libby and Akil, I hope you continue to love and explore life together. Thank you for trusting me with your big day and congratulations again!
