Natalie + Ryan | Intimate Italian Villa Wedding at Villa Daniela
Why spend just one day celebrating your marriage when you could enjoy multiple days? Natalie and Ryan planned a week-long celebration for their wedding in Italy and to say it was packed with good times would be an understatement! Keep scrolling to see more from their intimate Italian villa wedding at one of Tuscany’s more picturesque villas.
Natalie + Ryan’s Love Story
When a couple’s love story begins with the two of them meeting at a wine store, you can safely guess that a wedding in Italy might be in their future!
Natalie and Ryan worked at said wine store and, after forming a platonic friendship, the couple learned they had attended the same high school together (small world)! A couple of months later, Natalie was promoted and transferred to a new store. Anytime she called her old store for help with the online business (Ryan’s department), she would ask to speak with Ryan.
A couple of years later she was transferred back to her original store and, in a way that only life can, what was once a friendship slowly transformed into a relationship. Two years later, Ryan proposed during a trip to Belgium and the couple started planning their Italian villa wedding. The rest, as they say, is history.
Natalie and Ryan’s Week-Long Italian Villa Wedding
Natalie and Ryan wanted their Italian villa wedding to be a relaxed family affair with a formal fashion flair. All of their guests flew in from out of town and stayed at the Villa Daniela that the couple had rented out for the week. Their wedding day (which was taking place in the middle of the week) was surrounded by days relaxing by the pool, going on guided tours in the surrounding area, participating in some cooking classes at the villa, and, tons of delicious food. Instead of just spending one day celebrating their love, they spent an entire week of quality time and experiences with their loved ones.
The morning of their Italian villa wedding, Natalie and Ryan got ready in separate areas of the villa. Natalie shared an emotional first look with her dad before all the guests assembled at their outdoor ceremony location for the main event. Following their ceremony, the guests enjoyed cocktail hour while Natalie, Ryan, and I ran around the gardens for their portrait photos. Then, the couple joined their guests for dinner and listened to heartfelt toasts from their loved ones. Everyone ended the day with dancing (or spaghetti legs as Ryan and Natalie called it) on the dancefloor.
Natalie and Ryan’s Tip for Planning a Destination Wedding in Italy
Start as early as you can. Slowly chip away at all the most important 'must haves' for your day. This helps a lot to manage the 'overwhelming' feeling you get before you start. In the end, it will all work out because it’s about you & your partner! Everyone is happy to be there to celebrate you and that's the biggest takeaway, they will have from your wedding.
Natalie and Ryan, your Italian villa wedding was seriously a dream! Congratulations on your beautiful relationship and marriage! Wishing you both all the best.
