I absolutely LOVED capturing their day. Whether you're planning your own wedding at The Paseo, Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, or another gorgeous desert location, this blog is packed with inspiration, tips, and reasons why a desert wedding might be the perfect vibe for you!

Why Desert Weddings Are the Ultimate Dream

Desert weddings have a certain magic, something about that golden light, the vast open skies, and the natural, neutral-toned beauty makes for the most stunning photos. Whether you're saying “I do” in Arizona, California, or somewhere else with those dreamy desert landscapes, here’s why you should consider a desert wedding:

  • The Natural Scenery Does the Work for You
Seriously, you don’t need an over-the-top venue when the setting is this stunning! With wide open spaces, gorgeous rock formations, and golden hour lighting that hits just right, the desert brings effortless beauty to your wedding day.

  • Aesthetic & Timeless Color Palettes
Sophie & Trevor nailed their wedding aesthetic with a warm, earthy color palette that blended seamlessly with the desert tones. Neutrals, soft pinks, rust, sage green, these colors just work with the desert landscape, making every detail look cohesive and dreamy.

  • The Best Golden Hour Light
The way the sun sets in the desert? UNMATCHED! That soft, glowing, golden light creates the most beautiful atmosphere and makes for insanely romantic photos. If you’re dreaming of golden-hour portraits, a desert wedding will give you the best light to work with.

Sophie & Trevor’s Timeless Desert Wedding at The Paseo

Everything about Sophie & Trevor’s wedding was effortlessly stylish, and I loved every second of it! From the moment I arrived, I knew this was going to be a dream day, these two are just so easygoing and fun to be around. They kept things simple yet elegant, letting the desert backdrop do its thing while weaving in thoughtful details that made the day feel so them. It was one of those weddings where every little moment felt intentional, but nothing felt forced. Just love and celebration!

Sophie’s dress? Beyond stunning. The moment she stepped into her Alexandra Grecco gown from Lovely Bride Dallas, I knew we were about to get the most effortless, editorial-style bridal portraits.

The venue; The Paseo in Arizona is seriously one of the best-kept secrets for desert weddings! Nestled at the base of the Superstition Mountains, this place has insane views, a wide-open ceremony space, and the perfect mix of modern desert charm. If you're dreaming of a wedding that blends stunning nature with a refined aesthetic, this is the spot. The way the golden sunset hit the mountains during their portraits was seriously UNREAL.

This day was the perfect mix of classy, stylish, and a little adventurous (which I am always here for!). Oh, and one of my absolute favorite things? I got to incorporate some film wedding shots into their gallery!

I’m so grateful to have been part of Sophie & Trevor’s wedding day. It was full of love, beauty, and the kind of desert magic you only find in Arizona.
